Dillon Brooks says he is “ready to lock up” LeBron James

In last season’s playoffs Dillon Brooks shot his mouth off, directing a barrage of trash talk at LeBron James. The then-Memphis Grizzlies forward and professional basketball irritant, said amongst other things, the Lakers star was “old.”

Things didn’t go to well for the Oregon product as the Lakers uncerimoniously bounced the Grizzlies out of the postseason as James averaged 22.2 points , 11.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists , while Brooks shot just 31.2% from the field and and even-worse 23.8% from downtown and just 10.2 points in the six game defeat. To make matters worse, the Grizzlies informed Brooks that he would not be brought back “under any circumstances.”

Brooks, who signed a 4-year, $80 million deal with the Houston Rockets in the off-season, has decided to to pick a verbal fight with James in front of the two teams meeting on Wednesday night, cutting a promo on the future Hall-of -Famer saying that he was “ready to lock him up.”

Lebron on the season is 25.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.6 assists in 35.9 minutes per game. Dillon Brooks is off to a scorching start this season, putting up 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game on .593/.565/.938 splits.
