Utah Jazz guard Donanvan Mitchell has agreed to a five-year $195 million designated rookie maximum extension.
The 24-year-old was taken with the 13th pick in the 2017 NBA boasts career averages of 22.7 points and 4.0 assists per game and quickly displayed that he was more than capable filling the void created by the departure of Gordon Hayward in free agency that same offseason.
He has increased his scoring in each of his forest three seasons, averaging 24.9 ppg last season. Mitchell also picked up his level of play in the postseason, sporting a playoff average of 27.3 points per game in 23 games. This past postseason he really stepped up, averaging 36.3 points, including a pair of 50 point gems, in the Jazz’s seven game first round loss to the Denver Nuggets.
