The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially signed second-round draft pick Isaiah Evans to a four-year, $9.3 million rookie contract, according to league sources.
The agreement includes three fully guaranteed seasons and a fourth-year team option, giving Minnesota long-term control over one of the more intriguing prospects from the 2026 NBA Draft.
Evans was selected with the No. 33 overall pick after an impressive freshman campaign at Duke, where he earned All-ACC honors while showcasing the scoring ability and shot-making that made him one of the nation’s top recruits.
At Duke, Evans developed a reputation as a dynamic perimeter scorer capable of creating offense at all three levels. His combination of size, length, and shooting touch made him one of the most dangerous wings in the ACC, while his athleticism and defensive upside suggest there’s still considerable room for growth as he transitions to the NBA.
For Minnesota, the contract represents another investment in building around a young, talented core. By securing Evans on a four-year deal with three guaranteed seasons, the Timberwolves gain valuable roster flexibility while allowing the rookie time to develop without immediate pressure.
