Conventional wisdom would typically dictate that if a sneaker company had a player on their roster who was coming off the best season of their career, one that included getting their first All-Star nod as well as contributing to a gold medal winning Olympic team, the company should do what they can to retail them as part of brand.
Unfortunately, the company is Adidas, the player is Zach LaVine and that course of action laid out would have been too much like right.
The Chicago Bulls All-Star had signed a 4-year deal with Adidas back in 2017. The deal has expired, hence why LaVine was hooping it up in Kobe 9 in the Bulls last preseason game Friday night.
