The Jackson State University Division of Athletics and the JSU Tiger Fund Athletic Foundation announced a partnership with HOPE for the 2025 football season with the 2025 HOPE Labor Day Classic on Aug. 30 at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium.
“We are excited to partner with HOPE as the presenting sponsor of the Labor Day Classic,” Jackson State Vice President & Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson said. “This is an exciting time to be a Tiger as we welcome Hampton to start the season. I want to thank Bill Bynum and the leadership at HOPE for partnering with us to make this a memorable experience for all of our fans and alumni planning to join us at The Vet.”
HOPE (Hope Enterprise Corporation, Hope Credit Union, and Hope Policy Institute) provides financial services, leverages resources, and engages in advocacy that strengthens the financial health of people in under-resourced Deep South communities. Since 1994, these efforts have benefitted more than three million people in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee and influenced billions of investments in persistently impoverished communities nationwide.
“HOPE and Jackson State University (JSU) share a longtime and deep commitment to supporting Mississippi’s future leaders, and to advancing economic prosperity in our Capital City,” said Hope Credit Union CEO Bill Bynum. “The HOPE Labor Day Classic is a great way to elevate these shared values, and demonstrate the impact that can be achieved when mission-aligned allies like JSU and HOPE join forces.”
Jackson State faces Hampton at 2 p.m. on HBCUGO.
