Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre was taken to a local hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Center City, Philadelphia on Saturday evening.
Team representatives are at Oubre’s bedside, including team president Daryl Morey. He is expected to miss significant time, however, the injuries he suffered are not considered to be season-ending.
According to the club, Oubre was walking near his home in downtown Philadelphia when he was hit by the vehicle.
Oubre, 27, signed with the 76ers this past off-season and was playing good basketball, averaging 16.3 points on 50% shooting from the field and 37.8 % from downtown.
