Kyrie Irving will not be in the lineup when the Boston Celtics take on the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night. The team made the announcement earlier this afternoon that the star point guard is suffering from a left thigh contusion.
Though the Celtics will miss the 23.4 points and 7.0 assists per game that Irving provides, the young core and other Celtics have stepped up in Kyrie’s absence this year, going 9-2 without Irving, but we are no way suggesting the Celtics, at least this season, are better off without their superstar.
