Anthony Roy of Langston and Megan Nestor of Wayland Baptist were named this week’s Oklahoma Ford Dealers Sooner Athletic Conference Basketball Players of the Week for their efforts during the week that ended Jan. 21, 2024.
Roy led the No. 2 ranked Lions to a pair of conference wins last week as he averaged 25 points per game while grabbing six boards per contest and handing out 2 assists per game. In the Langston 83-40 win over Panhandle State, Roy scored 29 points with nine rebounds. In an 86-63 victory over Wayland Baptist, Roy scored 21 points while dishing out three assists.
