When LeBron James had to leave the team’s Christmas Day beatdown of the world champion Golden State Warriors, the Lakers fan base has held its collective breath. In the interim, the Lakers have also seen Rajon Rondo and Kyle Kuzma fall out of the lineup due to injuries. Rondo has been out since December 25 after suffering a grade 3 sprain on his right ring finger that required surgery, while Kuzma missed two games with a back injury.
The Lakers have lost seven of their last eleven games but there could be good news on the way.
The Lakers announced that all-world forward Lebron James has been cleared to return to practice next week after the team’s medical staff and doctors evaluated him.
Even with this news, the timetable around his actual return it was initially indicated by the Lakers that James was day-to-day but LeBron’s agent Rich Paul sais this to Sam Amick of The Athletic:
“best-case scenario was three weeks, the worst-case was six weeks, and we’re right on schedule.
