In their home finale the Langston Lions fell short 39-14 to Louisiana Christian on Saturday at W.E. Anderson Stadium.
Langston was unable to get rolling offensively as the Wildcats were able to build a 21-0 lead at halftime. The Lions were able to get on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when Ivory Wilright hauled in a 45-yard touchdown from Larry Harrington and 16-yard touchdown from Jailen Knight.
Harrington finished 10-of-24 for 140 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Wilright finished with four receptions for 93 yards with two touchdowns. Defensively, Devin Dourisseau led Langston with 12 total tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss. Isaiah Smithregistered the lone turnover for Langston when he intercepted Louisiana Christian quarterback Sal Palermo III in the fourth quarter.
Langston (6-2, 5-2) hits the road to face Arizona Christian in Glendale, Ariz. next Saturday. Game time is set for 9 p.m. CST and 7 p.m. MST.
