Monday the NBA announced the Players of the Week for the first week of the season. Jayson Tatum was named Eastern Conference P.O.T.W., while Damian Lillard took honors for the Western Conference.

Damian Lillard led the Portland Trail Blazers to a surprising 3-0 opening week. In victories over the Kings, Suns and Lakers, Lillard put 34.0 ppg, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists on .471/.364/.929 splits.
Jason Tatum and the Celtics had a 3-0 and the budding superstar was a driving force behind that. The Duke product averaged 34.7 points and 8.3 assists on a scorching 58.7% from the field.
