Nineteen years ago , back when released of Jordan 1s were not as number plus as grains of sand on a beach, this Air Jordan 1 released as a Japanese exclusive in quite limited numbers (2001 pairs to be exact ).
It appears that 2020 will be the year of their return. The 2020 version will seek to stay true to its 2001 progenitor, offering very similar metallic silver textured leather, that is overlaid by grey at the toe and underlaid by the same material at the heel. On the tongue is found “Nike Air” branding, metallic silver Swooshes on the medial and lateral sides, a jeweled Wings logo, and “CO.JP” rounds out the upper’s aesthetic.
The aforementioned upper sits above a wire midsole and grey rubber outsole with Nike branding in the center.
At this time, the “ Japan” Air Jordan 1 OG High is scheduled to release July 25 at nike.com and select retail venues and will carry a sticker price of $170 USD.
