Norfolk State women’s basketball coach Larry Vickers was named to the Midseason Midseason Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Watchlist earlier this week.
Vickers is in his 10th season and has recorded a 163-98 record. Coach Vickers’ Lady Spartans ball club is currently 17-4, including wins over Missouri and Auburn. Norfolk State sits atop this MEAC at 4-0, a game ahead of Howard in the win column, who is 3-0.
Up next for the Lady Spartans is a highly anticipated matchup with the aforementioned Lady Bison on January 25. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 pm EST.
