BOC Commissioner Isidro Lapeña told ABC-CBN News, ” The branded shoes, meanwhile, were illegally shipped from Italy and consigned to a certain Associated Freight Consolidators.”
Lapeña also said some of the shoes will be auctioned off or donated to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The Bureau said they were coordinating with its international counterparts to find the producers of the counterfeit items. At this point no arrests have been made.
