In this abbreviated offseason , there could be some potentially league-altering moves, like James Harden leaving Houston , but before that happens, players will opt-in and out of the final years(s) of their current contracts. Some , such as Anthony Davis opting out with the Lakers, are mere formalities to signing a more lucrative deals. Other players will opt-in on deals that will pay them far in excess of what they would or could command on the open market.
