Those of you who have been chomping at the bit to see Kristaps Porzingis for the first time in game time action since his acquisition by the Dallas Mavericks will have to wait a little longer.
Brad Townsend, who covers the Mavericks for the Dallas Morning News , reports that Porzingis will sit out the team’s preseason game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, because of their back-to-back. He will play on Wednesday against the Pistons.
After tearing his ACL February 6, 2018, Porzingis missed the rest of that season and the entire 2018-19 campaign as he recovered. He was acquired by the Dallas Mavericks in a trade February 1, 2019 that along with Porzingis, sent Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr and Trey Burke to Dallas, while New York got back Dennis Smith Jr, Deandre Jordan , Wesley Matthews and two future first round picks.
