While most of the attention ,and understandably so, surrounding the San Antonio Spurs centers around their beloved Manu Ginobili announcing his retirement earlier today, they did make an addition to their roster today without much fanfare.
According to Chris Haynes of ESPN, free agent wing Quincy Pondexter has agreed on a one-year contract with the club today. Pondexter has dealt with a series of knee injuries over the past few seasons, including three surgeries on his left knee and a staph infection that has limited him to just 23 games over the past three seasons.
Pondexter last played for the Chicago Bulls before being waived this past February. For his career he averages 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.
