Post Game Quotes

“This helps us get in better position in the standings for the postseason tournament, but it was also a revenge game,” Outside Hitter Noelani Beard (Jr./Kaneohe, HI) said. “We were out for blood. We were hungry. We were determined. It was really fun.”

“They brought that same fight,” said Shaw Head Coach Jonathan Paulk about ECSU. “They were trying to do the same exact thing. We stayed a little bit stronger and our crowd was awesome. Our AD [George Knox] and our president Dr. Paulette Dillard was here. When you have so many people supporting you, you feel confident.”

“There was a ton of energy,” Paulk said. “The other teams showed up. I saw both basketball teams. I saw tennis, I saw football. [Head Coach Adrian Jones] let them out of practice early. It did us a huge favor.”

“Those guys bring so much energy, I felt confident.” Paulk added. “When you have that crowd, that seventh player almost, you feel good. You feel strong.”
