SIAC Week 2 Track&Field Honorees

The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its track and field weekly honors, released by the league office on Tuesday.

Lirante Jackson of Benedict and Kassie Jordan of Benedict were named this week’s men and women Track Performers of the Week, alongside Isaiah McCray of Albany State and Savionna Glover of Benedict collected this week’s men and women Field Performers of the Week honors.

Women’s Track and Field

Track Performer of the Week – Kassie Jordan, Benedict College

At this week’s past meet, Jordan set a personal best in both the 200- and 400-meter races, with times of 24.95 and 58.45. She finished 8th overall at the meet.



Field Performer of the Week – Savionna Glover, Benedict College

Glover’s mark of 12.2m (39ft 9 in) in the triple jump beat out the competition and was a NCAA provisional qualifying mark. She also hit the NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the long jump, with a mark of 5.82m (19ft 1 in). Glover is ranked #1 in the SIAC in both events. 


Men’s Track and Field

Track Performer of the Week – Lirante Jackson, Benedict College

Jackson set a new personal best in the 200-meter race, with a time of 21.35 seconds. That time was good enough for Jackson to earn 3rd place in the event. He is currently ranked #1 in the SIAC for the 200 meters.


Field Performer of the Week – Isaiah McCray, Albany State

McCray placed 1st in the Triple Jump at the Emory University Spring Classic, with a mark of 14.35 meters. McCray is currently ranked 16th among NCAA Division II Triple Jumpers.
