In the most recent edition of Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers, we reported on a Richmond, California sneaker store that was looted in lieu in an alleged case of post election chaos. It was also reported there had been one arrest of the several alleged perpetrators of the theft.
One of the suspects was apprehended Thursday morning following a chase across the San Francisco Bay Bridge and into the Potrero Hill neighbourhood.
According to police , several pairs of brand new sneakers, a face mask and other evidence was found in the suspect’s car. Police also indicated that approximately 100 pairs of Yeezy sneakers, athletic apparel and electronics were stolen from Exclusive Sneakers, located at 4926 McBryde Avenue in Richmond.
The boxes of shoes are going to be returned to the store and the incident remains under investigation. Police say the robbery appeared to be an isolated business and no other business targeted.
