The geniuses in the ivory towers at Jordan Brand decided to troll their consumer base by not giving the well respected and very popular “taxi” Air Jordan 12, but instead, inextricably release an eerily visually similar colourway dubbed the “Royalty.” As was just alluded to, this Air Jordan 12 bares a striking visual resemblance to the “taxi”, meaning it sports a white leather upper with black overlays on the lateral and medial sides. As a cruel tease to sneaker enthusiasts who have been craving a return of the “Taxi” Air Jordan 12, the good folks at Jordan Brand decided to bring forth the “Royalty” Air Jordan 12. To say that the “Royalty” is visually reminiscent to the Taxi I would be a profound understatement as the similarities completely dwarf the near minuscule differences. Originally debuting in 1997 and making retro returns in 2004, and 2012 , the “Playoff” Air Jordan 12, the sneaker MJ won his fifth NBA title in , is apparently going to grace us with its presence in 2022. When we initially repported on the upcoming “Utllity” Air Jordan 12, we had the release date listed as August 28, and that has changed. The new date for this newest look for the Air Jordan 12 is now August 21. They will still carry the same $200 sticker price. This upcoming Air Jordan 12 sports a black tumbled leather upper overlaid with nubuck mudguards on the lateral and medial sides. Other features include mesh tongues with crimson branding , silver eyelets and crimson-bordered plastic Jumpman tabs. Below this upper resides a black midsole and white-speckled translucent outsole. This girls-exclusive colourway of the Air Jordan 12 that will hit stores next month. The light pink of its upper covers the shoe does so in a weather-worn streaky pattern.
