From famuathletics.com : Today, the NCAA released its public infractions report detailing specific infractions by Florida A&M University Athletics and associated penalties: • From 2010-2011 through 2016-2017, a series oferrors resulted in the participation of student-athletes who were not eligible to compete in several sports. Tennessee State stays perfect after Tampa Classic win

Although the Tennessee State and Florida A&M have met as recently as 2015, Saturday’s meeting in the inaugural Tampa Classic was a reprisal of their series in a Classic game that last happened in 2010 in the Atlanta Classic. FAMU kicks off season with win over Texas Southern in inaugural Jake Gaithersburg Classic

FANU used a combination of solid quarterback play from Ryan Stanley and stout defense in a dominating win over Texas Southern in the inagural Jake Gaithersburg classic. Stanley went 19-32 for 217 yards, one touchdown through the air and another on the ground and no interceptions.
