Cousins will be paid the minimum on a non-guaranteed deal to play for a Houston team currently in line to pay the luxury tax for the first time under Tilman Fertitta. Could the Rockets want that old thing back? According to the New York Times’ Marc Stein the team is scheduled to interview Jeff Van Grundy Wednesday. This would be Van Gundy’s second go-around with the team; he coached them from 2003-07, making the playoffs in three of his four seasons.
