John Wall dunking in workout

John Wall will more than likely not suit up for the Washington Wizards this season as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles’ tendon. The recovery seems to be progressing fairly well , as Wall threw down a dunk in a pregame workout in Boston. Hopefully this is a sign that Wall will be able to return close to form, but continued stretches of good health have been hard to come by for Wall over the last 2 seasons, he has played in only 73 games.

The Washington Wizards have trded center Dwight Howard to the Memphis Grizzlies for C.J. Miles in a move that will save Memphis $3.1 million. For Howard it seems his fall from grace continues as the former all-star, and multiple time defensive player of the year and rebounding champ played only 9 games this seasons and will now find himself on at least his 5th different team in the past five seasons. Markieff Morris out six weeks with Transient Cervical Neuropraxia

The Washington Wizards released an official update outlining the status of forward Markieff Morris. Morris was diagnosed with transient cervical neuropraxia .According to Sports Med Today it is “a rare but dangerous cervical spine (neck) injury. TQ is usually caused by cervical spinal cord trauma, which can occur after a neck hyperextension or hyperflexion injury with possible axial loading (pressure applied to the top of the head).” Morris will be limited to non-contact basketball activities for the next six weeks. John Wall to undergo surgery on injured heel; will miss rest of season

The Washington Wizards’efforts to right the ship this season just took another kick in the nether region. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst have reported that Washington Wizards guard John Wall is plannning to have surgery on his injured left heel. Shams Charania of the Athletic reported that Wall “tried to battle through the pain in his injured heel” to try to help reroute the Wizards’ derailed season.
