Jabari Parker to exercise 2020-21 player option with Kings

From Adam Wells of Bleacher Report: Jabari Parker will be back for a second season with the Sacramento Kings after exercising his player option for 2020-21, per Shams Charaniaof The Athletic and Stadium. The 25-year-old Parker will earn $6.5 million.  The Atlanta Hawks signed Parker to a two-year deal worth $13 million in July 2019. The short and strange union of Jabari Parker seems to, thankfully be in its death throes. The signing ( 2 years, $40 million) itself was a head scratcher, as he seemed to not really be what the Bulls need and it seemed like the team never had a clear plan on how Parker would be implemented. Already the Chicago Bulls’ 2018-19 season has been a strange journey. Injuries to several key players turned the team into a M.A.S.H. unit which contributed to the team stumbling out of the gate 5-20; it also forced players to take on different roles.
