Anthony Davis left with 2:09 to go in the first quarter of the Lakers exhibition against the Orlando Magic when he was inadvertently hit across the face by the Magic’s Khmer Burch while battling for the rebound and did not return. Davis was re-evacuated Sunday and sat out the team’s next scrimmage against the Washington Wizards with eye discomfort. Los Angeles Lakers plan to reopen facilities in mid-May

It seems that the dominoes are beginning to be put in place to clear a path to NBA basketball returning. Following the news of the Trail Blazers, Nuggets and Rockets re-opening their team facilities on Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers announced their intent to open their facilities May 16, according to reporting from The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania. According to USA Today’s Mark Medina, the Los Angeles Lakers announces all their players are symptom-free following their 14-day home quarantine. Two Laker players tested positive for COVID-19 shortly after the NBA suspended the season. from Megan Armstrong of Bleacher Report: Los Angeles Lakers guard Avery Bradley has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons with a right ankle sprain, according to team reporter Mike Trudell. Bradley suffered the injury earlier in the game and required assistance to get to the locker room, per Trudell, but his X-rays came back negative. Bradley had five points, one assist, one steal and one block before leaving.
