The Memphis Grizzlies waived Ivan Rabb and and Miles Plumlee on Saturday. Ivan Rabb has spent both of his NBA seasons in Memphis, after the Grizzlies acquired his draft rights from the Orlando Magic in 2017. He appeared in 49 games last season, posting 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest. For his career he has averages of 5.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. When the Memphis Grizzlies commence training camp on October 1, no.2 overall pick Ja Morant will be amongst the participants. According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, the team announced their rook point guard has completely recovered from the arthroscopic knee surgery he had back in June. The Minnesota Timberwolves declined to match the offer sheet that guard Tyus Jones signed with the Memphis Grizzlies. The Duke product had agreed to a three year, $28 million offer sheet. Tyus Jones signs a 3 year deal with Grizzlies

Former Timberwolves backup point guard Tyus Jones has agreed to a three year, $28 million dollar offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies, who have been more active than usual this offseason. Initially it was reported the offer sheet was for three years at $24 million, however Jones’ agent, Kevin Bradbury of BDA Sports Management told the Pioneer Press that the number was closer to $28 million when factoring in “likely incentives.” Jones , a restricted free agent, has spent the first four years of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves.…
