The Memphis Grizzlies waived Ivan Rabb and and Miles Plumlee on Saturday.
Ivan Rabb has spent both of his NBA seasons in Memphis, after the Grizzlies acquired his draft rights from the Orlando Magic in 2017. He appeared in 49 games last season, posting 5.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest. For his career he has averages of 5.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.
Plumlee, along with Solomon Hill, was acquired in the deal that sent Chandler Parson’s basketball cadaver to Atlanta.
The moves cuts the Grizzlies’ roster down to 15, and unfortunately for Rabb, comes right before the entirety of his $1.6 became guaranteed but the Grizzlies will take the full $12.5 million cap hit for Plumlee.
