Golden State keeping an eye on the Karl-Anthony Towns situation in Minnesota

According to The Athletic’s Ethan Strauss, at the D-League showcase, several NBA execs indicated Karl-Anthony Towns is “unhappy” with the current state of the 11-20, 13th in the Western Conference Minnesota Timberwolves. Strauss also reports the Timberwolves would be interested in acquiring Russell to pair with Towns via trade ( the two are close friends and there were rumblings of Russell going to Minnesota this past offseason). Zach Randolph is calling it a career. Z-Bo told TMZ Sports that playing in the Association is no longer on his mind. Randolph did not appear in one game in 2018-19 and the Dallas Mavericks waived him in February after acquiring the vet in a trade with the Kings. Carmelo Anthony continues to impress since signing with the Portland Trail Blazers, which also already been more successful than the cup of coffee he had with the Houston Rockets last season. Despite how things went in his run with the Cavaliers, Blatt is well-respected in the basketball world.
