From nba.com: OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Klay Thompson will not play in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Veteran guard Shaun Livingston will start in his place. The Golden Warriors guard’s status remained uncertain three days after he sustained a mild left hamstring strain. Thompson, who had been listed as questionable, was evaluated by the training staff before tipoff. Klay Thompson’s status for the pivotal Game tonight is still uncertain but the team would rather him sit out tonight’s proceedings. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne , the Warriors officials would prefer if the All-Star guard would not play in Game 3 and rest the hamstring strain that cut his Game 2 short. The NBA Finals resumes tonight with Game 3 from Oracle Arena. The talk of the series has shifted to the health, specifically the lack thereof, issue of the Golden State Warriors. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced that Kevin Durant would not play in Game 3 of the NBA Finals as he is still dealing with the strained calf suffered in the Conference semifinals. Kerr did add that Durant would be on the practice facility floor later Tuesday for an individual workout. DeMarcus Cousins will start Game 2 of the NBA Finals in place of Jordan Bell. Cousins made his return to the lineup in Game 1 after being sidelined since the first round against the Clippers with a torn quadriceps muscles. In his 8 minutes of action, Cousins had 3 points and 2 assists but will need to be more impactful to help Golden State even up the Finals.

OG Anunoby listed as active for Game 2

Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby will be active for the first time in the playoffs. The forward has been out since the last game of the season on April 12 due to an emergency appendectomy.  His return could add even more teeth to a defense that seemed, at times ,to cause the Warriors some issues. In his 67 appearances over the course of the regular season, the second year small forward averaged 7.0 points, 2.9 rebounds 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 20.2 minutes per contest.

When Andre Iguodala came up lame late in game 1, there was serious concern that this was a serious injury. As it was a non-contact incident, the worst was thought. Iguodala finished the game and minimized the severity of the injury saying “I’ll be fine,” after the game, as reported by the Mercury News’ Mark Medina.
