According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a deal with David Griffin to run their basketball operations. The ballclub announced earlier today that guard E’Twaun Moore will be out at least 7-10 days with a left quadriceps tendon he has been battling and now it appears they will be without point guard Jrue Holiday for at least that same amount of time. Finally, the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a trade…for Nikola Mirotic. The team has agreed to send the flloor-spreading power forward to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for big man Jason Smith and small forward Stanley Johnson. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal also included the Pistons and will see multi second-round picks to the Pelicans.

Thursday, the Los Angeles Times’ Brad Turner reported the Lakers presented the Pelicans with five various trade scenarios. One of the proposed deal included Los Angeles sending Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, and first round pick to the Pelicans for their all-world forward/center. Although the other scenarios were not disclosed, Turner adds the Lakers are seeking to get a deal done prior to the NBA’s February 7 trade deadline to avoid the AD sweepstakes opening up to other teams.
