The Anthony Davis trade rumors have been swirling about for at least a year. With Lebron James signing with the Lakers and Davis signing with James’ Klutch Sports, there was immediate speculation that it was only a matter of time before the Pelicans’ all-world forward would be donning the purple and gold. Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will miss tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to illness. Jahlil Okafor will start in his place. NBA sends out memo to teams about anti-tampering rules

Today the NBA sent a message to its teams about tampering…..literally. The comments of LeBron James ( and those of Giannis Antetokounmpo, though they aren’t getting near the amount of pub) in regards to Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis were, much to the delight of several NBA GM’s, the impetus for the NBA sending out a memorandum to teams to remind them of tampering rules. Lebron James recent comments regarding his thoughts on potentially playing with New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis stokes the long-simmering fires of rumours of Davis joining the Lakers. It is also a clear case of tampering.
