Norfolk State’s Larry Vickers named to the Midseason Midseason Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Watchlist 

image via Matt Patterson Norfolk State women’s basketball coach Larry Vickers was named to the Midseason Midseason Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Watchlist earlier this week.  Vickers is in his 10th season and has recorded a 163-98 record. Coach Vickers’ Lady Spartans ball club is currently 17-4, including wins over Missouri and Auburn. The list of accolades for Norfolk State’s Diamond Johnson continues to grow longer. The graduate guard was named the World Exposure Report Player of the Week.  Johnson helped the Lady Spartans to a 2-0 week, recording 24 points, 8 steals, 7 rebounds, and 5 rebounds in their 77-69 win over Morgan State. Norfolk State graduate guard Diamond Johnson was named the BOXTOROW National HBCU Player of the Week.  Johnson helped lead the Lady Spartans to a 94-54 win over Delaware State in which she put in 28 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists.
