Norfolk State makes plays late to get by Morgan State 24-21

It took every bit of 60 minutes but Norfolk State finally got their first win of the season , a 24-21 win over Morgan State that quite literally came down to the last play of the game. After receiving the opening kickoff, Norfolk State only needed three plays to travel 63 yards, hitting paydirt on Kevon King’s 34-yard scamper to hand the Spartans a 7-0 lead. The 11-game slate features five home games at William “Dick” Price Stadium, including the return of the Battle of the Bay to Norfolk in addition to three home conference games. The Spartans open the 2022 season with back-to-back road games against FBS competition. The season kicks off on Sept. 3 with a date at Marshall in Huntington, W.Va.
