Prairie View employee killed in on-campus shooting

The joyous and inquisitive nature of a college campus was shattered by gunshots. At approximately 9:30 A.M. Monday morning a Prairie View A&M campus employee was shot and killed by a former employee at the school’s Governor Bill and Vara Daniel Farm and Ranch. The suspect was soon thereafter detained and , thankfully, no students were harmed, according to a statement issued by the university. Prairie View A&M wide receiver Jailon Howard has entered the transfer portal. The redshirt senios made the announcement Monday night in a social media post. The Missouri, Texas product pulled in 16 receptions and lead the team in both receiving yards with 336 yards and touchdowns with 3. In his PVAMU career, Howard caught 43 passes for 878 yards and 8 touchdowns.
