Via Bulls.com The Chicago Bulls announced that the team has released forward Alfonzo McKinnie. Chicago also announced that it has signed veteran big man Tristan Thompson. In accordance with team policy, terms of Thompson’s contract were not disclosed. In his eleventh season in the NBA, Thompson (6-9, 254 pounds) owns career averages of 9.1 ppg (.518 from the field), 8.5 rpg (3.3 orpg) and 1.0 apg in 27.1 mpg. from The Boston Celtics suffered a big blow on Saturday when Gordon Hayward left to sign a massive four-year, $120 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets. Tristran Thompson out two to four weeks with sprained foot

It looks like Kevin Love is not the only key player to be out with an injury.  Thompson left in the third quarter of the team’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks after he landed on the foot of Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon.  According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski’s report, Thompson suffered a strained foot and is expected to miss 2 to 4 weeks.  Thompson doesn’t seemed too worried about the injury. “They didn’t chop my foot off so I’ll be fine,” Thompson said after the game on Monday night. “It’s a…
