Jazz’s Gobert, Mitchell, others health cleared

Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell along with the rest of Utah Jazz players and personnel have been given a clean bill of health by the state’s Health Department, according to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps. Gobert was the first NBA player to test positive for COVID-19 and ridiculously and wrongly draw the ire of players, fans and even some media ( because apparently he purposely contracted the virus as part of some insidious plan to end the NBA season). The Utah Jazz made some changes in their front office, promoting general manager Dennis Lindsey to executive Vice President of Basketball Operations and assistant GM Justin Zanik to GM, according to reporting by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Utah Jazz point guard Ricky Rubio will miss their game Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies with a hip issue. The team listed Rubio on their injury report as out with left hip tightness. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski the Cleveland Cavaliers traded veteran sharpshooter to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Alec Burks and two future second-round picks. Korver had been averaging 6.8 points in 15.7 minutes per contest while shooting 46.3 percent from three-point range.
