New Orleans Pelicans rookie phenom Zion Williamson left the NBA campus in Orlando last week under the story of attending to an “urgent family matter.” While he has been away from his ballclub, Williamson has been getting tested for COVID-19 daily and those test have all come back negative. The second Zion Williamson Air Jordan XXXIV to see a retail release, this sneaker sports an upper that features a colorful collection of scribbles and a note from Zion’s half-brother Noah, whom Zion very close with. The sneaker itself is actually is inspired by a sketch Noah did during a meting with the Jordan Brand design team. The long-anticipated regular season debut of 2019 no.1 overall pick Zion Williamson could be closer to a reality. Yesterday the New Orleans Pelicans announced that rookie sensation Zion Williamson would not play in the team’s preseason finale today against the New York Knicks due knee soreness. It it believed to not be serious but according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pelicans are erring on the side of caution and Williamson will miss the first few weeks of the season. One of the most coveted sneaker free agents in recent memory, Zion Williamson, now has a footwear home. The number one pick in this year’s NBA Draft has signed with Jordan Brand. He has been spotted wearing both Puma and Nikes and it was speculated that those were the top candidates vying to add him to their respective roster, so it was somewhat of a surprise that he chose the Jumpman.
