Tennessee State Basketball to play in Emerald Coast Classic consolation game Saturday morning

 After falling to Mercer on Friday morning, the Tennessee State men’s basketball team is set to compete against Southeast Louisiana in the consolation round of the day bracket at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning.

SERIES INFORMATION: This marks the 10th all-time meeting between TSU and Southeastern Louisiana. The inaugural encounter occurred during the 1972 NCAA D2 Regional in Hammond, Louisiana, with TSU securing a 62-57 victory. The most recent meeting was on Feb. 9, 1987, resulting in a 78-51 win for TSU.

18 — A season-high in points for freshman Jaylen Jones, who played 33 minutes and 39 seconds off the bench. Jones shot 4-of-9 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line.
