NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State men’s basketball team got a 16-point performance from the bench but fell 68-49 to the Morehead State Eagles at home Thursday.

The Tigers (12-10, 5-4) had two players score in double figures, led by Jason Jitoboh, who had 12 points and three blocks. Denim Dawson tacked on 10 points and Ej Bellinger added nine points.

How It Happened

Tennessee State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 35-22 heading into halftime.

Tennessee State could not pull any closer in the second half, losing by a final of 68-49. Tennessee State took care of business in the paint, recording 18 of its 27 points in the lane.

Game Notes» The Tigers put on a passing clinic, recording an assist on 61 percent of made field goals.
» The Tennessee State bench came alive by adding 16 points to its scoring output.
