Lipscomb jumped on Tennessee State early and never looked back and ultimately cruised to a 74-43 win.

The Bison got off to a fast start, shooting 53.3% ( 8-15) from the field and 55.5% (5-9) downtown on their way to outscoring the Tigers 22-7 in the game’s opening period. Tennessee State, on the other hand, stumbled out of the gate, mustering just 7 points in the period and shot just 20% (3-15) from the floor.

Tje second quarter was equally unkind to Tennessee State, as the Tigers once again were frigid from the floor, shooting 3-15 again in the frame, Lipscomb continued their efficient shooting, 56.25% (9-16) and took a commanding 45-17 lead heading into halftime.

The third quarter, from an offensive standpoint, was the most successful of the evening for the Tigers as they scored 18 in the frame but were unable to close the gap no closer than 22 points. Tennessee State shot just 4-12 in the fourth quarter and put up their second single-digit of the evening with 8 points, while Lipscomb doubled up the Tigers output with 16 points, claiming a 74-43 victory.

Eboni Willims led the Tigers with 13 points and 7 rebounds; Sanaa St. Andre, the only other TIger in double figures with 12 points. Aleah Sorrentino led three Lipscomb players in double figures with 14 points.

The Tigers return to the court on November 24 next Friday, as they will head to Miami, FL to take part in the FIU Thanksgiving Classic. TSU takes on William & Mary in the opening contest.
