Indiana Pacers star guard Victor Oladipo is expected to be out at least December, according to what Pacers President Kevin Pritchard had to say to reporters on Friday.
He might be out a little bit. I’m hopeful he’ll be back December or January.
Oladipo suffered a season-ending torn quadriceps tendon in a January 23 loss against the Toronto Raptors.
In his absence, the team and head coach Nate McMillan did a remarkable job, as the team ended with a 48-34 record before getting swept in the first round of the playoffs at the hands of the Boston Celtics.
The team Oladipo returns to could look totally different to the one he left. The team will have nine free agents, including point guards Darren Collison and Corey Joseph, wing Wesley Matthews, deep shooting big man Bojan Bogdanovic and other bigs Thaddeus Young.
Should the team falter and Oladipo not quite look like himself, the Pacers may take the longer approach in terms of fielding a competitive team.
