Virginia Union women’s hoops falls to Washington Adventist University, 83-70

Virginia Union University’s women’s basketball team led Washington Adventist University 39-35 at halftime, but the Shock mounted a fierce comeback to defeat the Lady Panthers 83-70 on Saturday, December 10, in Takoma Park, Md.

“We were not completely focused for this game,” said VUU Head Women’s Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.  “We need to make some major adjustments before we begin conference play to be successful. We did not play team basketball tonight and that resulted in a loss.”

The Lady Panthers now travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., to face Winston-Salem State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17.  The game will be streamed live on the CIAA Sports Network.
