Tuesday the SIAC announced their latest round of weekly baseball honourees and it was a Savannah State affair as they swept both player and pitcher awards.

Champion Robbins (Savannah State) was named Player of the Week, while Enrico Peele (Savannah State) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Champion Robbins, Savannah State | Second Base | R-Sophomore | Conyers, Ga.
Champion Robbins helped lead Savannah State to a three-game series sweep of LeMoyne-Owen College this week. Robbins batted a .667 average over the three-games, racking up eight hits, including two doubles, on 12 at bats with three runs and four RBI. Overall, this season, Robbins is batting .447 with 21 hits, including five doubles, to lead the Tigers from the plate.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Enrico Peele, Savannah State | Pitcher | 6’2 | Redshirt-Junior | LeHigh Acres, FL
Savannah State starter Enrico Peele had yet another excellent outing this week. The junior right-hander led the Tigers to 22-0 rout of LeMoyne-Owen College on Saturday, pitching 5.0 innings. He allowed no runs on three hits with one walk and six strikeouts against 19 batters. Peele is 3-1 on the season with a 2.95 ERA following 18.1 innings pitch. Savannah State swept the three-game SIAC series with LeMoyne-Owen College.
