Veteran wing Wesley Matthews signed a two year, $5.26 million deal according to The Athletic’s Mike Scotto.
The deal is really a “one-plus-one”, as the second year is a player option.
Matthews and the re-signed George Hill will be charged with replacing the steady play and defensive void left when Malcolm Brogdon signed a four-year, $85 million deal with the Indiana Pacers earlier in this offseason’s Free-agency bonanza.
Last season between the Dallas Mavericks, that two game cup of coffee he had with the Knicks, and the Indiana Pacers, Matthews averaged 12.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
