Elizabeth Cambage has joined adult entertainment platform, OnlyFans.
The Australian basketball player, 30, told The Herald Sun on Friday that she was ‘scared’ to make the move but was tempted by the money she’d make.
‘Every other girl is on OnlyFans at the moment, all the influencers, so I thought just do it,’ she said.
‘I was so scared to actually do it. But I had my friends and family push me and say don’t worry what anyone says – people are either going to love you or hate you regardless.’
It comes after Liz was reprimanded over a fiery clash with the Nigerian team during a pre-Olympics match.
The two-time Olympian and WNBA superstar was involved in a heated altercation during an Opals warm-up match against Nigeria in Las Vegas in July.
Cambage – who ended up missing missed the Tokyo Olympics citing mental health issues – admitted in a social media video ‘there were words exchanged’ and ‘things got heated’ between her and members of the opposing team.
An investigation by Basketball Australia into Cambage’s pre-Games behaviour has now ended with a formal reprimand but no suspension, and she is is free to continue playing for her country.
Announcing her withdrawal from the Opals team in July, Cambage wished her Opals team-mates ‘the best of luck’ but said she needed to take care of her mental health.
In September Cambage also tested positive to Covid-19 and went into isolation but experienced only minor symptoms.
