Celebration Bowl tickets go on sale Tuesday

From Alcorn State Athletics: LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University announced that ticket sales for the 2019 Celebration Bowl will begin Tuesday at 12 p.m. The game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which is an electronic ticketing venue. All tickets will be emailed – there are no “hard” tickets printed. However, tickets can still be purchased at the Athletic Business Office and will be emailed. Fred Van Vleet out against Chicago

Toronto Raptors point guard Fred Van Vleet will miss the team’s game against the Chicago Bulls ( not that they need him to beat the abysmal Bulls) due to a knee contusion. Van Vleet suffered the injury against the Philadelphia 76ers. Murphy adds that a subsequent MRI came back clean but the team decided to er on the side of caution and hold him out of Monday night’s contest. Norman Powell will start in Van Vleet’s place.

Kawhi to miss Pacers game due to “knee maintenance”

As teams figure new ways to get players rest throughout the NBA season, the latest term a club is trying to get over with us “knee maintenance.” This is the reason the Los Angeles Clippers are using to explain for holding Kawhi Leonard out against the Indiana Pacers.
