Nike and FedEx amongst companies who paid no income tax since 2018

From Marc Bain of qz.com: Despite raking in billions in earnings, Nike, FedEx, and two dozen other public companies have paid no federal corporate income tax in the US since 2018, according to a study by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a Washington-based research organization. The behavior continues what ITEP describes as a decades-long trend of companies finding ways to avoid taxes through legal loopholes such as deductions and exemptions. Clippers to sign DeMarcus Cousins to 10-day deal

from Joseph Rucker of B/R: Veteran center DeMarcus Cousins is signing a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.  Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN noted Cousins needs to test negative for COVID-19 six times before he’ll be cleared to exit the NBA‘s health and safety protocols. The four-time All-Star should be cleared by Monday barring any setbacks.
