SIAC announces basketballers of the week

Courtesy of the SIAC ATLANTA, Ga. (January 17, 2023) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its men’s and women’s basketball Players of the Week. For women, Diamond Jones (Fort Valley State) was named Player of the Week, while Nadia Thorman-McKey (Tuskegee) earned Newcomer of the Week. For men, Malachi McCoy (Benedict) was named Player of the Week, alongside, Floyd Williams (Lane) who earned Newcomer of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday. David Oliver is a decorated athlete, winning a bronze medal in the 110 Hurdles at the medals at the Beijing Olympics in 20028. He also took gold in the 60 Meter Hurdles at the USA Indoor Championships in the same year.
