Tennessee State rises to top of OVC with 73-71 win over Southern Indiana

It came down to the last possession, but Tennessee State was able to put away a Southern Illinois team that would not quit, 73-71 in a crucial OVC matchup.  The slow starts that have plagued Tennessee State once again raised its ugly head as they connected on 2 of their first 10 field goal attempts and fell behind 10-4.  TSU continued to trail until Aaron Nkrumah’s jumper tied the game at 17 at the 9:58 mark. Alabama State’s Dylan Djete invited to CFL combine

Alabama State wide receiver Dylan Djete has accepted an invitation to the CFL.  The Quebec native began his collegiate career at Wofford. Following his freshman campaign, in which he caught 27 passes for 431 yards and a touchdown, Djete was also named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team.  In his 3 seasons at Wofford, Djete appeared in 31 games, catching 59 passes for 772 yards and 4 touchdowns.
